We are pleased to welcome Mrs. Margaret Burke, a senior U.S. patent attorney, to our firm. She holds a degree in Materials and Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Mrs. Burke previously served as a USPTO patent examiner and has extensive experience in U.S. and Asian patent practice, specializing in optical components, lithium-ion batteries, nanotechnologies, biotechnology, and GaN-based semiconductor devices.

She formerly led a patent team in Hong Kong, handling patent drafting and prosecution for technologies such as LED lighting, semiconductor fabrication, displays, and wireless communications, while actively assisting start-ups and academic institutions in developing patent strategies. Mrs. Burke has also been deeply involved in professional training and client education, giving lectures and seminars on U.S. patent practice across Hong Kong, Mainland China, and Japan.

Her expertise includes U.S. patent reexamination (EPR), appeals, and accelerated examination procedures, bringing extensive experience and a global perspective to our international patent team.
